Dear Member,

Entries for Little Hay Knockout Competitions 2023 will open on the 1st of March. The competitions are open to fully paid-up members of Little Hay Golf Club.

With the intention of encouraging more participation, and in view of the number of members joining in the past 6 months, your club committee has decided that this year there will be no charge for entry to these competitions. Furthermore, the club rule that entrants must have added 6 scores to their scoring record in the past 12 months will also be waived for this year. All entrants, however, must have a valid Handicap Index. Competitions with fewer than 10 entries will be played but the honours boards will not be updated and no trophies will be awarded for those competitions.

ENTRY is preferably by HowDidIDo but printable entry forms (pdf) will be issued with AGM papers and can be returned as stated below. Please note that the draw and subsequent management of the competitions will be via HowDidIDo.

Entries will open on HowDidIDo on the 1st of March and will close at 6.00pm on Wednesday the 13th of April.

Paper entries will close at 9.00 am on the 6th of April (Seniors Medal)

Paper entries can be submitted as follows:

To the Starter for the day at the Seniors’ Medal/Stableford competitions in March and April – 2nd and 16th of March and 6th of April
OR
To Ivan Lawrence at the Mens Medal/Stableford competitions in March and April – 4th and 26th of March and 1st of April.

PLAYING REQUIREMENTS -a WHS Handicap Index is required for entry. Away members must provide their CDH number for WHS Handicap verification. If you enter a Doubles competition it is your responsibility to check that your partner meets the above requirements.

THE DRAW will take place as soon as possible after entries close and will be published via HowDidIDo.

First round matches to be played by 31st of May. Subsequent rounds to be completed during successive calendar months.

HANDICAPS : Singles Knockouts – Full Course Handicaps apply. Doubles Knockouts – Players take 90% of the difference between their Course Handicap and that of the lowest Course Handicap player.

NO PARTNER FOR DOUBLES? If you wish to enter one of this year’s Doubles Knockout Competitions but do not have a partner please reply to this email stating which competition you wish to enter before 6.00 pm on the 5th of April. The committee will then attempt to pair you with another player.
NOTE your reply must be received by the above date and time which is 1 week earlier than the cut off for entries via HowDidIDo.
