I am sure you all agree the Peter Betts Trophy Charity Event was a great success this year. The weather was perfect, the course in great condition and the golf very enjoyable with a close finish.![]()
Congratulations to Ted Carroll, Martin Mansfield, Nigel Hopkinson and John Redgwell for their winning round of 59, beating Chris Murray, Michael Gardner, Trevor Sargeant and Alan Milsom on countback.![]()
On behalf of all the Senior members, we would like to thank John Poston and all who helped him run this event for so many years. Thanks also to the family of Peter Betts for donating the trophy in his honour and for supporting the event every year. John is retiring from organising the event and will be a difficult act to follow. Many thanks John.![]()

- Update on Handicaps March 2024
- Local RulesThe local rules for play at Little Hay have been updated to remove an anomaly which has existed since the change of rules in 2019. The local rule regarding penalty areas now reflects that the fact that penalty areas, except bunkers, can be played in the same manner as in the general area.
- LOCAL RULE FOR BUNKERSThe local rules allowing free relief in bunkers are cancelled with immediate effect. Relief in bunkers must now be taken in accordance with Rules 12.2, 15.1, 15.2, 16.1c, 16.2 (unlikely) and 19.3. With regard to doubt about the position of the ball players should familiarise themselves with Rule 12.1.
