Welcome to Little Hay Ladies' Section

There are so many golf clubs in Hertfordshire that choosing the right club can be a difficult decision. Our ladies section appreciates it's not just about the facilities; it’s about the atmosphere, the people, and the friendships that you will make. We are proud of our friendly, inviting ladies section which is a joy to be a part of. We welcome new members and will be pleased to help you to obtain your Handicap if you do not currently have one.

The Ladies’ Section at Little Hay currently (2016/2017) has 49 members. Our philosophy is to ensure that new ladies are welcomed into the club and encouraged to participate in our events and competitions.

Our Ladies competition days are Monday for non business ladies and Saturday for our business ladies. During the qualifying season, (April – November) we play monthly medals which are normally on the first Monday and Saturday of the month and a stableford
(or similar) competition on the remaining Mondays. During the winter months (November – March) we have a rest from qualifying competitions but encourage as many ladies as possible to continue to play by holding fun competitions, many of which are team events. In addition to these games we hold a roll-up on Wednesday morning's where you can play - just for fun!

During the season, our ladies can opt to play in friendly matches against other local clubs. These are a great way of meeting new people, playing other courses and are always great fun.

In addition our fixture list includes a number of extremely popular events with our own Senior Men’s section as well as various club competitions throughout the year which are open to all sections of the Club.

As well as club competitions, we take part in various NAPGC competitions.
(The National Association Of Public & Proprietary Golf Clubs).
Rewards for entering these competitions could enable you to play in golf courses all over the country.  (Including St Andews!)
Our club has been the proud winners of many of these competitions over the years.

You can practice on our large Driving range or 6 hole pitch and putt course.

We are very proud of our Professional, Lee Jordan, who understands your individual needs whether you are a complete novice, seasoned competitor or you just enjoy a social round with friends. He has improved many of our ladies' game of golf.

We are always on the lookout for new members, so if you would like to join us, contact the Ladies’ Membership Secretary,
Fran Tarling, whose details can be found on the
Membership Form

We are affiliated to the Herts County Ladies Golf Association HCLGA
